Bio

I am a 25 year old French software engineer. I graduated in 2008 from EPITA (Ecole Pour les Technologies Avancées), an information technology engineering school located in Paris, France, where I received my degree which is equivalent to a Master of Science.

I majored in MTI, which stands for Multimedia and Information Technologies, where I focused on conception, design and development of web applications, and more particularly on RIA, Rich Internet Applications. I was passionate about RIAs straight away, when I built my first (of many) Adobe Flex application.

In 2007 after I finished my first internship at Wonderbox – a gift box selling company – as a webmaster, I created my own web site. I created a community of Pro Evolution Soccer fans where members can post their most beautiful goals scored in the game, and then comment, discuss and rate them. The website was quite a success with over a thousand daily visitors after a few months and around 10000 goals posted. The web site is built with PHP, MySQL, AJAX.

In 2008 I did my final 6-month internship in Accenture Technology Labs of Sophia Antipolis, France. I worked mostly on Microsoft Silverlight, building a real-time data visualization tool as the sponsor of a team participating in the Shell eco-Marathon. I finished the internship by working on a social networking system for a multinational petroleum company based on Microsoft SharePoint.

I joined the Accenture Technology Labs as a full-time employee in September 2008, as a member of the RIA focus team. I designed, built and deployed many Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR applications for the New Generation Branch, a show room located in the Accenture office focusing on the bank of the future where client workshops are held on a daily basis. Not only did I work with Flex, I also had the chance to build applications in other very innovative technologies such as a mortgage simulator for Microsoft Surface, and an ideation management web site in Microsoft ASP.Net and Adobe Flex.

I more recently built a “Wall” application for a major international insurance group in Adobe AIR. The application was deployed in the headquarters of the firm over 3 massive touch screens at 1.5 m each. It allows users to browse information on the group itself among live information, services or games. In the meantime I worked in Ireland for 6 months on the tax management application which is built in Flex, improving the system, adding new functionalities and most importantly, making the application accessible to visually impaired users.

All of this experience has led to my recent status as an Adobe Certified Expert on Flex with AIR.
